Programs and service areas

  • Healthy Communities

We provide comprehensive health and wellness programming that includes mental health promotion, substance use and overdose prevention, tobacco cessation, Long COVID and COVID-19 recovery support, and problem gambling education. LACM also leads women’s health initiatives focused on breast and cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and culturally responsive health education.

  • Stable Communities

Through our housing stability services, we offer individualized case management, crisis intervention, financial coaching, and long-term planning to support families at risk of homelessness or experiencing housing insecurity. These efforts build on LACM’s longstanding history of helping community members move toward sustained stability and economic well-being.

  • Strong Communities

Our civic engagement and trusted messenger work ensure that community members have access to clear, culturally grounded information on complex and evolving issues—from public health to local development projects such as the Blue Line Extension, housing redevelopment, and transportation planning. LACM serves as a bridge between institutions and the community, ensuring residents are informed, heard, and engaged in decisions that shape their neighborhoods.

  • Sustainable Communities

In partnership with local and statewide green and environmental organizations, LACM is expanding its role in environmental justice and climate resilience. We provide culturally relevant outreach and education on the “3 Rs”—recycling, reduction, and reuse—while engaging youth and families in hands-on learning that builds curiosity and leadership around environmental issues. Our younger generations are increasingly interested in topics such as air quality, watersheds, and pollution.
