Healthy Communities

We provide comprehensive health and wellness programming that includes mental health promotion, substance use and overdose prevention, tobacco cessation, Long COVID and COVID-19 recovery support, and problem gambling education. LACM also leads women’s health initiatives focused on breast and cervical cancer prevention, early detection, and culturally responsive health education—acknowledging the disproportionate barriers AAPI women face in accessing preventive care.

The Gambling Prevention and Awareness Program raises awareness about responsible gambling, helps community members recognize risks and triggers, and provides education and tools to prevent problem gambling.

  • Tobacco Awareness

The Tobacco Prevention and Awareness Program works to reduce tobacco use by increasing awareness of its health impacts and supporting community-led education and prevention efforts.

  • Long COVID & COVID Recovery

The COVID-19 Recovery and Long COVID Program connects community members with trusted information, resources, and community-driven solutions to address the ongoing health impacts of the pandemic.
